Dr Christian Pout is a diplomat and an internationally renowned expert on the Africa’s peace, security, development nexus issues. He is the chairman of the central african leading think tank CEIDES.

Dr Pout holds a PhD Degree in International Relations and Diplomacy from the EHEI-CEDS Paris. He is a Senior Researcher of the International Politics Department of the International Relations Institute of Cameroon. He is a Visiting Associate Professor at the Catholic Institute of Paris where he leads the African geopolitics Seminar. He is a research associate of the Tutu Centre for War and Peace Studies, Liverpool Hope University, UK and an international consultant for UNDP, Francophonie, African Union ACRST, Niger High Authority on Peace Building, ISS, Swiss FDFA among others.

Dr Pout has published widely. He recently released « Boko Haram au Cameroun : quelles nouvelles dynamiques ? » (Co-authored with Dr Yogo and Dr Bana edited in march 2019 by Éditions du Cygne, Paris). He is a regular guest on international and local media such as Africa 24, BBC Africa, VOA, Cameroon Tribune, etc.
